Robert Kimball & Associates to re- <br /> map with base orthophoto and cadastral property maps the County <br /> inIa multi-phase, multi year project; with authorization of the <br /> proposed Phase 2 workplan (modified) for 1985-1986. <br /> NEED: To ;provide accurate base and cadastral property maps for all <br /> County land, offices and citizens, especially the tax appraisal <br /> funl tions and the official County PIN Index System. <br /> Each year of the project the Board of Commissioners will approve <br /> thei work plan and budget, subject to the availability of funds, <br /> issuing a letter to the contractor. . <br /> IMPACT: The total cost of the Agreement if all phases are approved is <br /> $624,673.96 to be paid by County revenue, re-evaluation funds, <br /> use contributions, and grants from the State of North <br /> Carolina's Land Management Program. The Agreement is, at this <br /> time, projected for five years to complete all phases. <br /> Phase 2 (Phase 1 was approved and completed in 1984-85) is <br /> proposed as modified to provide orthophoto and topographic maps <br /> ford Chapel Hill Township as displayed on the Contract Map for a <br /> cost of $142,912; funding to come from revenues ($89,946), State <br /> . Grant ($16,000), and a participation contribution from other <br /> participating agencies (Chapel Hill, UNC, Carrboro and OWTASA) <br /> ($36,966). <br /> REC MMEM ATION(S : <br /> Thai the Commissioners approve the Agreement with L. Robert <br /> Kimball & Associates, and Phase 2 (modified). It is also recom- <br /> mended that the Commissioners approve the purchase of additional <br /> topographic maps in Phase 2 if additional participation contri- <br /> butions are received. <br />
