He reaffirmed their commitment and willingness to work in the <br /> Joint Planning process. He emphasized that Carrboro would like to have some <br /> input in developing the plan. Policies are being made that affect Carrboro's <br /> joint planning area and in particular the watershed areas. Be would like to <br /> see the plan applied through an ordinance and feels that the Carrboro <br /> ordinance is flexible enough to use in the joint planning area. He stated <br /> that Carrboro is ready to enter into a joint planning agreement as soon as the <br /> map is prepared. I There is still minor disagreement about the line to the <br /> north. That line will be the Town limits someday. If that line is not <br /> negotiable, he would like to look at other alternatives in the joint planning <br /> process. <br /> Chair Willhoit emphasized there was not a deliberate effort to exclude <br /> Carrboro from the joint planning process.
