The proposed amendments we e <br /> presented at the November 4, 1985 Public Hearing . <br /> To receive the recommendation of the Planning Board concerni g <br /> the proposed amendments . <br /> • <br /> NEED: The North Carolina Sedimentation Control Commission has ap <br /> proved a revised Model Local Soil Erosion and Sedime.ntatio <br /> Control Ordinance to make it consistent with changes to th: <br /> Sedimentation Pollution Control Act and its Regulations. Th- <br /> Commission has mandated that all local governments administer <br /> ing such ordinances revise their Local ordinance to conform t. <br /> the Model Ordinance by January 1 , 1986. <br /> IMPACT: The proposed revisions are primarily minor changes to the word <br /> ing of the Ordinance and will not substantially affect th - <br /> application or enforcement of the Ordinance. Most of th : <br /> requested changes are currently incorporated in Orange County ' : <br /> Ord.Hance . <br /> If th!a Board approves the proposed <br /> PP roves amendments , the changes wil <br /> be sent to the North Carolina Sedimentation Control Commissio <br /> for their review and approval as required by State Law. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approval of amendments . <br />
