No <br /> Attachment(s) Loc6.1 Action Plan Information Contact: Don Wilihoit <br /> for Falls-Jordian Watersheds <br /> Telephone Numbers <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Durham - 888-7331 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> PURPOSE: To Update the Board of County Commissioners regarding <br /> actions taken by the Falls-Jordan Steering Committee <br /> concerning watershed protection action plans. <br /> NEED: At the November 25, 1985 Board of Commissioners meeting, <br /> a question arose as to whether or not recent zoning/subdivision <br /> text amendments incorporated actiona teddmmenaed blr the <br /> State for protection to the Falls and Jordan watersheds. <br /> A review of the action plans for both watersheds indicated <br /> that the State felt that impervious surface limitations <br /> were either not applicable or being complied with by Orange <br /> Cou4y. Recent amendments to zoning/subdivision regulations <br /> have brought the County into action plan compliance concerning <br /> 50-foot stream buffer requirements and infiltration of <br /> the first 1/2" of stormwater runoff. <br /> IMPACT: <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> • <br />
