An issue statement precedes the <br /> proposed amendments and is an attachment to this abstract . <br /> The Boiird of Commissioners tabled consideration of this <br /> amendment until. the receipt of information on the <br /> Mecklenburg County definition of "farm". The definition of <br /> "bona fide farm" contained in the Mecklenburg County Zoning <br /> Ordinance and subject to the litigation (See Attachment) <br /> follows: <br /> Farm, Bone Fide. Any tract of Land containing at <br /> least three (3) acres which is used for dairying or <br /> for raising of agricultural products, forest <br /> products, livestock or poultry and including <br /> facilities for the sale of such products from the <br /> premises where produced provided that a farm shall <br /> not be construed to include commercial poultry and <br /> swine production, cattle feeder Lots and fur—bearing <br /> animal farms . <br /> IMPACT: The proposed text amendments, if approved, would improve the <br /> ordinance and provide clearer direction in its <br /> administration and enforcement . <br />
