NC 86 is a north south thoroughfare leading to Chapel Hill to the 1 <br /> south and to Danville, Virginia to the north. <br /> 4.. I-85 is-the primary Interstate route serving the.Piedmont section <br /> of North Carolina.. It connects Durham, Burlington, Greensboro, <br /> and Charlotte, as well as many smaller cities. II <br /> S. I-40, planned for completion.in 1987, will connect 145 with <br /> existing I.40 near Research Triangle Park, and will-also improve . <br /> access between Hillsborough and Chapel Hill. <br /> I B. Local Streets <br /> Local <br /> street access. for Scotswood will be provided at US 70 by <br /> Scotswood Boulevard and at St..
