The Planning Board could request that the <br /> appLic4nt waive the 70—day requirement to allow for <br /> further study. For any waiver, the Planning Board should <br /> postpoge reconsideration to "date certain" or a specific <br /> meeting time at which action would be taken. <br /> 2. If the applicant refused waiver, the Planning <br /> Board could schedule a special meeting (within the <br /> remaining 21 days) to take action on the proposal or, if <br /> unable to obtain agreement on a special meeting, take <br /> . immedi te action . In the latter case, the Planning Board <br /> could deny the request or add conditions of approval <br /> which jsought to address the concerns voiced at the <br /> meeting. . <br /> - I <br /> In either case, it would be incumbent upon the Planning <br /> Board to have Legitimate concerns about the subdivision proposal <br /> which had not bean adequately addressed through Staff or agency <br /> review. Likewise, the Planning Board must adhere to ordinance <br /> requirements/limitations. Conditions cannot be added end/or <br /> actions taken which are not permitted by the Subdivision <br /> Regulations. The review/approval process must set forth what is <br /> expected of the applicant, but it must offer a degree of <br /> "predictabilit in terms of when/what action will be taken . <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the revised administrative procedures procedures <br /> and time schedule for approval of major subdivision preliminary <br /> plats. Direct Staff to advise surveyors and review agencies of <br /> changes in time schedule and initiate changes to become effective <br /> October 24, 1985. <br /> CC: County Manager <br />
