HIGHWAY 57 <br /> DEPAIUMENT: COUNTY MANAGER PUBLIC HEARING: Yes Alb <br /> ATrACEMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: BILL LAWS <br /> X503 or mum, MCADOO X480 <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBER: <br /> LEASE AGREEMENr Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: The purpose of this lease agreement is to relocate the site near <br /> the intersection of Highway 86 and 70 to a location one mile <br /> north on Highway 57. <br /> NEED: There are now located at the present site thirteen dumpsters. <br /> With the volume of garbage we should have eighteen to twenty <br /> containers at this site. There is no room on this site to place <br /> more than the thirteen. Secondly, the site presents a safety <br /> hazard from the traffic along Highway 86. When the sanitation <br /> truck is loading there is very little room for vehicles to come <br /> in with their garbage. This site is very conspicuous as well. <br /> The new site would provide a buffer on all sides, easy access <br /> and about one acre of land. We intend to make this a model site <br /> complete with fence and loading space. <br /> IMPACr: This lease if approved would be for a five year period. The <br /> size of the site would be one acre of land. We would pay the <br /> rath of $50.00 per month.
