Hill — 968-4501 <br /> PURPOSE: To receive public comment on proposed amendments to the Sedi- <br /> mentation and Erosion Control Ordinance. <br /> NEED: The North Carolina Sedimentation Control Commission has ap- <br /> proved a revised Model Local Soit . Erosion and Sedimentation <br /> Control Ordinance to make it consistent with changes to the <br /> Sedimentation Pollution Control Act and its Regulations. The <br /> Commission has mandated that all local governments administer- <br /> ing such ordinances revise their Local ordinance to conform to <br /> the Model Ordinance by January 1 , 1986. <br /> IMPACT: The proposed revisions are primarily minor changes to the word- <br /> ing of the Ordinance and will not substantially affect the <br /> application or enforcement of the Ordinance. Most of the <br /> requested changes are currently incorporated in Orange County 's <br /> Ordinance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approval of amendments . <br />
