LAND USE PLAN AMENDMENTS <br /> Amend Section 2.8 ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY <br /> CtASSIFICATION SYSTEM to revise the street classification system. <br /> The amendments establish a system - of street classification <br /> providing for interstate, arterial, minor arterial, collector, <br /> sub-collector classes which reflect 1994 NCDOT traffic counts . <br /> 9. ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS <br /> a. Amend Article 4 ESTABLISHMENT Of PERMITTED USE TABLE <br /> Sections 4.2.3.b3, 4.2.4.63, 4.2.8.b5, 4.2.9.65, 4.2.10.b7, <br /> 4.2.11 .b3, 4.2.10.b5, 4.2.21 .b3, 4.2.22.63 and 4.2.23.b3 of <br /> the application criteria for specific zoning districts. <br /> The amendment refines the access requirements related to <br /> street classification and reflects the construction of <br /> streets proposed during the development process. <br /> b . Amend Article 22 DEFINITIONS to refines the street <br /> definitions of arterial collector, Local and minor streets <br /> and to add to the definitions of access, minor arterial <br /> subcallector and general factors (streets) . <br /> The street definition amendments address gaps in the current <br /> classification system, provide for the classification of <br /> street by traffic volume and establish service levels and <br /> access requirements by land use. <br /> c. Amend Article 5 ESTABLISHMENT Of DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS, <br /> Section 5.1 .2-Schedule for Non-Residential Development to <br /> revise the floor area and open space ratios for industrial <br /> zoning districts. <br /> Inconsistencies in the Land use Intensity (LUZ) system <br /> related to industrial uses have been identified and requests <br /> for amendment received from the public. <br /> d. Amend Article 5 SPECIAL USES to provide for the issuance of <br /> a Class A Special, Use Permit to accomodate requests for <br /> modification of the impervious surface requirements for <br /> property subject to the Protected Watershed II (PW-II) <br /> overlay zoning district. <br /> This amendment is consistent with provisions of watershed <br /> ordinances in other jurisdictions on the Triangle region. • <br /> ALL interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and be heard. <br /> • <br />
