It would not have an adverse affect on agriculture and <br /> forestry uses. <br /> The requested rezoning is appropriate in that after the <br /> Amendment of the Land Use Plan the proposed use of the land would <br /> be in compliance with the general standards, specific rules and <br /> standards set forth by Orange County and its use as proposed <br /> would promote public health, safety and general welfare and would <br /> not have an adverse affect on the value of the contiguous <br /> property. <br /> My concrete plant has been a part of this community since <br /> 1972. We have tried to be a good corporate citizen and neighbor . <br /> I intend to continue to operate the plant at its present <br /> location. Currently we employ nineteen persons . Our payroll is <br /> approximately $275,000.00 and in 1974 we paid Orange County <br /> approximately $42,000.00 in sales tax based on sales in Orange <br /> County. <br /> I am not asking for this modification of the Land Use Plan <br /> and rezoning in order to expand my business. This modification <br /> is being requested so that we may merely bring our operation into <br /> compliance with the regulations of the Department of <br /> Public Hearing Comments :6 <br /> - - - <br />
