Erosion Control Ordinance Amendments <br /> Presentation by Warren Faircloth <br /> This agenda item is to review and discuss <br /> proposed revisions to the Sedimentation and <br /> Erosion Control Ordinance. <br /> The North Carolina Sedimentation Control <br /> Commission has approved a revised Model Local <br /> Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control <br /> Ordinance to make it consistent with changes to <br /> he Sedimentation Pollution Control Act and its <br /> Regulations . The Commission has requested that <br /> all local governments administering such <br /> ordinances revise their local ordinance to <br /> conform to the Model Ordinance . <br /> The proposed revisions to the Ordinance will <br /> noteffect the application or enforcement of the <br /> Ordinance. The revisions are mainly minor <br /> changes to the wording of the Ordinance . <br /> Several definitions will be added to the <br /> ordinance and the wording of others changed . <br /> Revisions are being made to the administrative <br /> procedures for contacting property owners <br /> concerning violations .
