• <br /> 010} <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENTS <br /> TO THE SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE <br /> OF ORANGE COUNTY, N .C. <br /> • <br /> Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be <br /> held in the Commissioners Room in the Orange County <br /> Courthouse on Monday November 4, 1985 at 7:30 p .m. <br /> for the purpose of giving all interested citizens an <br /> opportunity to speak for or against the adoption of <br /> proposed amendments to the Orange County <br /> Sedimentation end Erosion Control Ordinance. <br /> These proposed changes have been requested by the <br /> North Carolina Sedimentation Control Commission in <br /> • order to make the Local ordinance conform to recent <br /> ;.. changes to the State 's Mode! Ordinance. <br /> The amendments under consideration are as follows: <br /> 1 . Section 2 Purposes <br /> Amend Section 2 to include the prevention <br /> of water pollution and damage to public and <br /> private property. <br /> 2. Section 3 Definitions <br /> Amend Section 3 to add or revise the <br /> definitions of Act, Person Responsible for <br /> the Violation, Person Conducting Land <br /> Disturbing Activity, Siltation, Sedimenta- <br /> tion , and Working Days. <br /> 3. Section 4 Scope and Effect <br /> Amend Section 4 to resolve conflicts be- <br /> tween federal, state or local Laws in favor <br /> of the more restrictive provision . <br /> 4.
