NEED: The Board of Commissioners has expressed a desire to review any <br /> proposal for text amendments to the County Ordinances and the <br /> legal notices advertising the same prior to advertisement . <br /> The North Carolina Sedimentation Control Commission has ap- <br /> proved a revised Model Local Soil Erosion and Sedimentation <br /> Control Ordinance to make it consistent with changes to the <br /> Sedimentation Pollution Control Act and its Regulations . The <br /> Commission has requested that all Local governments administer- <br /> ' such ordinances revise their local ordinance to conform to <br /> the Model Ordinance . <br /> IMPACT: Review of the proposed advertisements would ensure that the <br /> Legal notice of the public hearing is in a form that can be <br /> understood by persons not familiar with the subject . <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Accept as to farm . <br /> I 1 <br />
