HIGHWAYS: <br /> The State Highway system in Orange County consists of: <br /> 95.86 miles of primary roads <br /> 404.36 miles of"secondary roads <br /> 219.84 miles of unpaved roads <br /> 12-0.06 total miles <br /> NC DOT has scheduled, in its 1985-94 transportation improvement program,- <br /> improvement to 44.5 miles of highway at $95.4 million. This figure excludes the <br /> work scheduled in Carrboro ($3.6) and Chapel Hill ($6.3).
