EQUIPMENT - Electronic Tabulating System <br /> Amount Description Price <br /> 3 M/210 "Marktronics" Vote <br /> Tabulators 0 $3,475.00 ea. $ 10,425.00 <br /> NOTE: Prices do not include freight or taxes, if applicable. <br /> TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS <br /> A. The M/210 "Marktronics" vote tabulating system: <br /> I . Is micro-processor based. <br /> 2. Has "self calibrating" optics. <br /> 3. Has alpha-numeric, two color print out. <br /> 4. Is able to read two-sided, one color ballot with no "corner out". <br /> 5. Has single computer board layout. <br /> 6. Has retractable power-cord. <br /> B. Voters- may vote with pencil or fiber-tipped pen upon the ballot. <br /> The ballot used with this system is paper and has the candidates <br /> names and issues printed thereon, <br /> C. The "Marktronics" M/210 system provides for the voter to deposit <br /> their own ballot or ballots into the tabulator. The system counts <br /> votes as the voters deposit their ballots during the day. At the <br /> close of the polls, the precinct officials turn one (1 ) key to get <br /> immediate alpha-numeric print', outs. <br /> D. The "Marktronics" M/210 has been approved for use in the state of <br /> North Carolina by the State Board of Elections. <br />
