Ward
Please see attached a recent letter to Mrs. O'Neal regarding county
services available to her.
Indigency
Based on her income which was last verified two years ago Mrs. O'Neal
would fall in the borderline category of indigency. HF-r monthly income
would qualify her for a minimum Food Stamp benefit (She received $10.00
per mouth in 1983). Under Medicaid, she would be required to spend
approximately $150.00 per month on medical care as a deductible before
payments could be authorized on her behalf. She is eligible for. Surplus
Food and Energy Assistance. our records show she has not applied for
emergency assistance from General Assistance funds. Current guidelines
for the program would not consider street improvements as a "necessity"
covered by General Assistance.
