012 <br /> ORANGE <br /> COUNTY <br /> TO: Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> FROM: Gail McClain Hayes, Chair <br /> Orange County Commission for Women <br /> SUBJECT: Annual Report for Fiscal Year 1984-85 <br /> DATE: June 30, 1985 <br /> The Orange County Commission for Women submits its annual report for <br /> the fiscal year ending June 30, 1985. <br /> The Commission continues to affirm its role as an advocate for women <br /> through research, resolutions, and position statements to the Orange County <br /> Board of Commissioners and other governing boards. Information-referral <br /> activities are also a high priority as can be seen through expanded client <br /> contact and the coordinator's leadership role to produce a computer based <br /> information system for Orange County. <br /> The function of .the Commission as a coordinating agency for women is <br /> continually enhanced through (1) careful review of programs and resultant <br /> recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on budget support for outside - <br /> agencies serving the special needs of women, (2) expanded use of the <br /> Commission office by outside agencies, and '(3) growing use of the Commission <br /> as a resource center on women's issues. <br /> The Commission appreciates the longstanding support of the Orange County <br /> Board of Commissioners, and pledges renewed efforts to improve the status <br /> of women in Orange County. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Gail McClain Hayes, Chair <br /> Orange Co.
