Harkins, Jr. stating he represented Miss Betsy <br /> .Rhine and Dr. Sally Feather and they were concerned about the use of <br /> our property not meeting the zoning ordinances of Orange County. <br /> 5/10/85 Filed a non discharge permit application with the DEM. <br /> 5/20/85 Received a copy of a letter from Mr. Harry Harkins Attorney for J. B. <br /> Rhine heirs to Mr. Mervin Collins, Planning Director of Orange County. <br /> 5/21/85 A letter received from Susan J. Smith, Orange County Planning Dept. <br /> notifying our company. to cease all use of the 4.34 until the property was <br /> in compliance with current zoning for industrial use. <br /> 5/21/85 A letter from Cecil G. Machcline, Review Engineer of OEM requesting <br /> additional information for our application for a non discharge permit. <br /> Deadline of 8/11/85. <br /> 5/28/85 Public Hearing- on Land. Use Plan Amendment. <br /> 411 5/31/85 A letter from R. W. Van Tilburg, Regional Supervisor DEM stating that <br /> our application for a non discharge permit had been received and was <br /> in complete. ' He outlined the additional information needed and re- <br /> quested we complete the application by June 14, 1985 <br /> 6/4/85 Met with David Adkins & Carolyn McCaskill (DEM) at the Hillsborough <br /> plant to seek advice on how to meet their requirements for controlling <br /> the wastewater run off. This was after the unfavorable comments were <br /> received at the public hearing. Verbal suggestion and options were <br /> received. <br /> • <br /> 6/13/85 Met with Mr. Collins, Ms. Smith and Mr. Bell to seek their advice on <br /> how to use a portion of the 4.34. Basically we need to use the 2 <br /> lagoons that have-been constructed. They suggested a possible amendment <br /> to- the Land Use Plan we had submitted and request a smaller portion. <br /> 6/14/85 Wrote a letter to Mr. Van Tilburg updating him on our application. <br /> 6/19/85 Met with Fritz Brunssen of Phil Post & Associates at the Hillsborough <br /> plant to discuss updating our plans and to reduce the amount of land <br /> being considered in the Land Use Plan Amendment. <br /> 6/27/85 Completed seeding of 4.34 acres and all work on the original grading and <br /> Soil Erosion Plan finished. <br /> •/28/85 Informed Mr. Rosenmond by phone that all work was completed. <br />
