August 5, 1985 to hear a rezoning request by PHE, <br /> Y <br /> Inc . The purpose of the request was to permit <br /> the expansion of the business at it 's present <br /> Location — N .C. 54 Near the Morrow Mill Road <br /> intersection . <br /> PHE has since notified Chair WiLlhoit • of the <br /> County Commissioners of it 's intention to <br /> relocate to ALamance County (see attached <br /> Letter) . Because of this decision , a public <br /> hearing will not be necessary . <br /> IMPACT: The decision on the part of PHE is regrettable in <br /> that a company will be relocating elsewhere . <br /> PHE, in it ' s Letter, did make an erroneous <br /> statement in regard to it 's decision . The Letter <br /> stated that "the way in which the planning <br /> department operates is not in tune with the <br /> businessmen of this county . " <br /> • It is regrettable that PHE viewed the Planning <br /> Department in such a tight . The Planning <br /> Director and Planner III [Current ) met with <br /> representatives of PHE on several occasions and <br /> suggested many ways in which the company could <br /> expand in accordance with County policies and <br /> ordinances . For PHE to view the department as <br /> not being "in tune" implies a Lack of <br />
