Minimum education and experience requirements used in the <br /> recruitment and selection of an individual shall include <br /> graduation from college with a degree in planning or related <br /> subject, and one (1 ) to two (2) years experience in the <br /> administration of land development regulations and the <br /> preparation of Land use plans . <br /> 2. The individual selected shall, upon employment , <br /> be an employee of the County and shall be subject to all <br /> provisions of the County Personnel Ordinance and <br /> policies/procedures of the Department . <br /> The individual selected shell be classified as a Planner I <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the PLANNER) and shell be assigned to <br /> work as a member of the Department . The individual shall be <br /> compensated in accordance with the Pay and Classification Plan <br /> for the County and shall be entitled to all fringe benefits on <br /> the same basis as provided to other County employees. <br /> 3. The Planner shalt work for the Town an average of <br /> twenty—one and one—half (21-1/2) hours per week . The remaining <br /> time of eighteen and one—half (18-1/2) hours per week shall be <br /> spent working for the County . <br /> The Planner may work for either jurisdiction more than <br /> the average number of hours specified above, provided a schedule <br /> of work is prepared and agreed to by both the Department 's <br /> Director and the Town 's designated representative. In no event , <br /> however, shalt the total number of hours worked during the <br /> Agreement period exceed the average per week as specified above. <br /> 4. Work performed by the Planner shall be on an <br /> assignment basis, and time sheets shall be prepared daily for <br /> activities performed for the Town and the County. <br /> Work performed by the Planner for the Town may include, <br /> but not be Limited to , the following: <br /> a . Issue zoning permits for new construction , <br /> process rezoning requests before the Town Planning <br /> Board and conduct investigations/secure compliance as <br /> related to zoning violations; <br /> b . Issue Certificates of Appropriateness for <br /> construction within the Town 's historic district, and <br /> provide assistance to the Town Historic District <br /> Commission; <br /> c. Process variance and conditional use <br /> requests before the Town 's Board of Adjustment; <br /> d. Provide technical assistance to the general <br /> public and developers; <br /> ru. <br />
