The Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange, North <br /> Carolina, met in regular session in the Orange County Courthouse, in <br /> Hillsborough, North Carolina, the regular place of meeting, at 7:30 <br /> o'clock p.m. on August 5, 1985. <br /> Present: Commissioner Moses Carey, Commissioner Ben <br /> Lloyd, Commissioner Shirl Marshall, Commissioner Norman <br /> Walker and Donald Willhoit, Chair <br /> Absent: <br /> ************************************************************************** <br /> The Chair announced that this was the hour and day fixed by <br /> the Board of Commissioners for the Public Hearing on the Preliminary <br /> Assessment Roll filed with the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners of <br /> Orange County pursuant to the direction of the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners and pursuant to the Board's decision to finance the local <br /> share of the cost of paving North Carolina State Road #1918, also known <br /> as Clearwater Lake Road, in Chapel Hill Township, Orange County, North <br /> Carolina. The Chair also announced that the Board of Commissioners <br /> would immediately hear anyone who might wish to be heard on the <br /> Preliminary Assessment Roll. Various persons appeared and were <br /> recognized and heard on the said Preliminary Assessment Roll. Those <br /> recognized and the essence of their comments were recorded by the Clerk <br /> to the Board of Commissioners in the minutes of the Board. <br /> Thereupon, upon Motion of Commissioner Carey seconded by <br /> Commissioner Marshall and carried, the Preliminary Assessment Roll for <br /> the financing by Orange County of the local share of the cost of paving <br /> North Carolina State Road #1938, also known as Clearwater Lake Road, in <br />
