Renovations to toilet facilities in the New Courthouse and at the <br /> Northern Human Service Center to facilitate handicapped access. <br /> 2. Construction of handicapped ramps at the Agricultural Building, <br /> the Probation office and the Tax and Records Building. <br /> NEED: The construction and renovation projects will meet federal requirements <br /> for handicapped access in public buildings. <br /> IMPACT: There are $41,500.00 budgeted and available for these projects. The total <br /> of the low bids received is $40,953.00. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): <br /> 1. Award the contract for toilet facility renovations to the D.W. Ward <br /> Construction Co. in the amount of $10,958.00 and authorize the chair <br /> to sign the contract. <br /> 2. Award the contract for the construction of handicapped ramps to <br /> Riggs-Harrod Builders, Inc. of Durham in the amount of $29,995.00 <br /> and authorize the chair to sign the contract. <br /> £i <br />
