Blythe <br /> 106 East Margaret Lane <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> Dear Beverly: <br /> I take pleasure in announcing that Governor, and Mrs. Martin are planning a <br /> recognition ceremony to be held during the first part of November at the <br /> Executive Mansion. Since they believe North Carolina's vital strength lies <br /> within the spirit of voluntarism, they <br /> in each county. <br /> plan this occasion to honor the winners <br /> e• Also, I am pleased to announce that Mr. Don Evans, Deputy of Citizen <br /> Participation, and Mrs. Lisa McLemore, Recognition Coordinator, have joined <br /> our staff. They will be coordinating the Governor's volunteer program. When <br /> you have any questions regarding the recognition ceremony, or information on <br /> the new volunteer program, please call 1-800-662-7952. Mr. Evans and Mrs. <br /> McLemore will be glad to assist you. <br /> We are asking that each County Involvement Council nominate one outstanding <br /> volunteer, and one outstanding volunteer organization in their county, which <br /> represent superior qualities of voluntarism. Enclosed is a form for your use <br /> in making the two nominations. We would appreciate having this form returned <br /> no later than July 22. Following this, you and your nominees will receive <br /> more information about the final details of the ceremony. <br /> We are hoping that all 100 counties,will be represented.
