Land- Records and Tax. <br /> Office are working on a. new set of aerial maps for <br /> the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area which can be utilized <br /> by all three jurisdictions for the land use <br /> information system.. <br /> In: regard"-to joint planning Collins felt we needed <br /> to decide what was urban.. versus rural.. <br /> He fdltr too- that staff needed to address: <br /> administrative- procedures.. Fee schedules- needed to <br /> be revaluated to see if they are self supporting. <br /> Collins further noted he felt the Fiscal Impact <br /> Analysis System• was important in regard to the <br /> long range impact on the County as far as schools, <br /> water and sewer systems and the cost and benefits <br /> to the county.. <br /> He noted the twelve elements carried over from <br /> 1984-85 .work program should be cleared out first, <br /> due to the fact that some of these elements were <br /> ' carry-overs from previous budget years,. <br /> The elements of the- 1985-86: work program that he <br /> would. stress are as follows: <br /> Thoroughfare Plan <br /> Prezoning Issue <br /> (the design-a.gn standards and unified land use code are <br /> involved in this issue) <br /> Land Use Information System <br /> Smith noted that many of these elements were in the <br /> final stages of completion.. <br /> Gordon inquired of Collins if the Planning Board <br /> could do something to help clear up the elements <br /> that had been carried over simply due to the fact <br /> that Board of Commissioners had set other <br /> priorities for Planning Staff. <br /> Collins responded that it would take a great deal <br /> of staff <br /> work rk <br /> and time to get items prepared P for <br /> discussion with the Board or other committees. <br /> Collins noted one concern that he has which seems <br /> to interfere with the work program is the number of <br /> development applications.
