- Mr. Wayne Munden -2- February 21, 1985
II
.
II 110 lots in Phases 2 thru 4. A force main will be installed to direct the
into a 8" outfall line placed within the public right-of-way
which will connect into the existing sewer line at Sedgefield Drive and
Weaver Dairy Road at Booker Creek Subdivision.
II
II
You suggested that our engineer investigate the possibility of redesigning the
sewer line to parallel the eastern boundary of our project. If this can be accom-
11 plished to provide gravity flow, the necessity of the relocated pump station will
be eliminated. Our ideal goal is to negotiate off-site public sewer service
to the entire project. There are two factors which are major impediments to
II accomplishing this. First, is the fact that we are a private entity trying to
acquire public outfalls. Second, is OWASA's policy of not exercising the police
power of condemnation to acquire needed outfalls for gravity flow sewer service.
With these two limiting factors in mind, the current plan shows pump stations being
II utilized to sewer the project.
i 11 To my knowledge, this recaps our meeting of Wednesday afternoon, February 20, 1985.
II We would greatly appreciate your review and comment of the above mentioned items.
Our next submission deadline is April 12, 1985 for a rezoning request before the
joint Planning Board of Orange County and Chapel Hill. Prior to this submission,
the respective planning staffs of each governing body would like to receive in
writing your support of the preliminary plan outlined.
If you have any questions or I can assist you in any further, please call me
at 683-1410.
Sincerelyz
4
f 0
A 1 671\
Randy S ith
Development Administrator
RS:eau
•
•
11
