Thompson <br /> FROM: Don Nallboit <br /> SUBJECT: Planning Items <br /> DATE: May 15, 1985 <br /> A Joint Planning Public Bearing is scheduled for <br /> June 11, and it is my understanding that only one item is on <br /> the Public Bearing agenda. This would be a good opportunity <br /> to have a briefing for the Chapel Bill Town Council, the <br /> Board of Commissioners and the Orange County Planning Board <br /> on the status of Joint Planning planning. It would also be a <br /> • convenient time to have a work session with the Planning <br /> Board regarding the Planning Department's work program prior- <br /> ities for 1985-86. <br /> Commissioner Marshall and I met with Alice Gordon, <br /> 11111 - Planning Board Chair, and prepared a list of key issues that <br /> es <br /> should be considered in setting priorities for 1985-86. <br /> These issues include: <br /> 1. Designation of water quality critical areas for Cane <br /> Creek and University Lake reservoirs. <br /> 2. Review impact of sewer line (alternates A and B) on <br /> McGowan Creek and Land Use Plan. <br /> 3. Consider designation of reservoir sites in Upper Eno <br /> and Little River watersheds. <br /> 4. Review Hillsborough's water and sewer.extension plans. <br /> 5. Review and take formal action on the &Adams' Report. <br /> 6. Prepare area plans for 1-40 interchanges. <br /> 7. Review water and sewer extension policies. ' <br /> 8. Perform road capacity studies. <br /> 9. Prepare definition of "minor road." <br /> 10. Review adequacy of Zoning Ordinance in accommodating <br /> 1110 <br /> - <br /> 1-40. <br />
