Work with Planning Board on refining Town Goals and <br /> 1985 Objectives (incorporating substantial public input). <br /> June 2. Obtain Council adoption of Goals and Objectives. <br /> March-Sept. 3. Staff and Planning Board work with Orange County <br /> staff, Carrboro staff, and OVvASA staff and Boards to: <br /> a. Prepare Land Suitability Analysis for entire urban <br /> area.* <br /> b. Prepare Map of Existing Land Use for urban area. <br /> c. Draft discussion paper on water and sewer issues. <br /> d. Prepare population projections for urban area. <br /> e. Prepare "maximum population" figures for entire <br /> urban area. <br /> . _ f. Draft discussion paper on growth issues; <br /> -Growth patterns and trends; <br /> -RTP influence; <br /> -I nf ill; <br /> -Road capacities; <br /> -Drainage basins and sewer service; <br /> -1-40 impacts; <br /> Density of development; <br /> -Rural buffer; <br /> Comparison of existing land use mix (hous- <br /> ing, commercial, office/institutional) to <br /> projected land use needs; and <br /> -Greeriways, Entranceways, and other Open <br /> Space considerations. <br /> Early Sept. 4. Joint Chapel Hill Council/Planning Board Work Session <br /> (suggest County schedule work session at about the <br /> same time) for staff to present the above. <br /> Late Sept. 5. Hold two Public Information meetings to present all of <br /> the above, hear comments and reactions. <br /> October-Nov. 6. Chapel Hill, Orange County staff/Planning Boards to <br /> draft Land Use Plan, Map, incorporating all of the <br /> above. <br />
