A meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, North <br /> Carolina, was held at Hillsborough, North Carolina, the regular place of <br /> meeting at 7:30 o'clock p.m., on the 3rd day of June, 1985. <br /> Present: Commissioner Moses Carey, Commissioner Ben <br /> Lloyd, Commissioner Shirl Marshall, Donald Willhoit, Chair <br /> • <br /> Absent: Commissioner Norman Walker <br /> ************************************************************************** <br /> The following resolution was read to the Board: <br /> PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION <br /> FOR THE FINANCING BY ORANGE COUNTY OF <br /> THE LOCAL SHARE OF THE COSTS OF <br /> PAVING NORTH CAROLINA STATE ROAD #1932, <br /> ALSO KNOWN AS CLEARWATER LAKE ROAD, <br /> IN CHAPEL HILL TOWNSHIP, ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA. <br /> WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County <br /> has received a petition requesting the paving of North Carolina State <br /> Road #3918, also known as Clearwater Lake Road, in Chapel Hill <br /> Township, Orange County, North Carolina, which petition has been signed <br /> by at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the owners of property adjoining <br /> the said roads, which property represents at least seventy-five percent <br /> (75%) of the lineal feet of frontage of the lands abutting the said roads, <br /> pursuant to North Carolina General Statute Section 153A-205(c); and <br /> WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of Orange County has <br /> elected to finance the local share of the costs of paving the said roads, <br /> as permitted by North Carolina General Statutes Section 153A-385(4) and as <br /> provided for in North Carolina General Statute Section 153A-205; <br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT <br /> -1- <br />
