REVISIONS/CLARIFICATIONS 01( <br /> ARTICLE IX <br /> Section 4.1 - 4.5.7 pages (68 - 73). <br /> This section was expanded to better clarify the County's disciplinary process. <br /> Briefly the additions/changes include: <br /> (1) Progressive warnings do not-have to relate to the same type of un- <br /> satisfactory performance; however, they must all relate to job <br /> performance. <br /> (2) Specific guidelines to be used in exercising disciplinary action. <br /> (3) Department Head may request the employee take up to a day's leave <br /> with pay to consider whether or not the employee wishes to make a <br /> commitment to improve performance. <br /> (4) No longer can the County suspend an employee, pending the resolution <br /> of a civil or criminal court matter, for the purpose of delaying an <br /> administrative decision on an employee's work status. <br /> The additions/changes reflected in this section incorporate new State policy. <br /> Section 5.0 page (74) <br /> This section was added to make it mandatory that employees in positions that <br /> require licensure and/or certification by law, maintain current and valid <br /> credentials. Failure to do so may result in immediate dismissal without prior <br /> warning. <br />
