Garrett have <br /> requested a Planned Development-Housing (PD-H-R-1) designation <br /> for 37 acres of land located on NC 10 (SR 1144) in Cheeks <br /> Township. The purpose of this request is to permit construction <br /> of a 40 unit mobile-home park. <br /> The property in question is known as Lot 55 of Tax Map 28 in <br /> Cheeks Township. The property is located within an area <br /> designated Twenty Year Transition and Commercial-Industrial <br /> Transition on the Orange County Land Use Plan. That <br /> designation permits single-family residential housing. The <br /> present zoning classification of the property is Residential-1 <br /> and Protected Watershed-II. The requested designation is PD-H- <br /> R-1. Certain development standards must be met and a Special <br /> Use Permit must be obtained for the development to proceed. <br /> IMPACT: Approval of the request would allow a 40-unit mobile home park <br /> to be constructed on the site. <br />
