The . purpose of this request is to permit <br /> construction of a 33-unit subdivision. <br /> At the May 6, 1984 Board Of County Commissioners meeting a <br /> motion to approve the preliminary plan failed. The Board <br /> subsequently moved to continue this item for consideration at <br /> the next BOCC meeting. <br /> The applicant has revised the Preliminary Plan to provide <br /> recreational space and facilities as follows: <br /> 44,000 square foot recreation area <br /> I basketball court (55 x 95) <br /> 1 tot lot (50 x 70) <br /> 6 picnic tables <br /> 4 gravel parking spaces <br /> Recreational space is not required for subdivision of a tract <br /> zoned Residential-1. However, the LUI system fora planned <br /> ed <br /> development-housing (Residential-1) specifies a required <br /> minimum recreational space ratio of .019. For a tract of this <br /> size the resulting minimum recreational space requirement would <br /> be 27r064 square feet. The applicant proposes to exceed this <br /> requirement by 16r936 square feet in his' <br /> subdivision request. <br />
