003 <br /> REPORT OF THE PLANNING BOARD ON THE O-WASA LAND APPLICATION PROGRAM <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> MAY 21, 1985 <br /> NEED: On April 29, 1985 the Bingham Township Advisory Council, along <br /> with several other township residents, expressed concern to the <br /> Planning Board about OWASA's proposed land application of <br /> municipal sludge to OWASA-owned property. Concerns were also <br /> raised about the conduct of OWASA operations on privately-owned <br /> farmlands under active Department of- Environmental management <br /> permits. <br /> IMPACT: By receiving this report the Board will be made aware of the <br /> concerns, raised by the Planning Board, Bingham Township <br /> Advisory Council and residents of the Community.- <br /> Following receipt of the report the Board may wish to take <br /> action on this matter by directing the Planning .Board, Planning <br /> Staff and/or any other County Department or agency to prepare <br /> recommended procedures under which sludge application <br /> operations would be approved and conducted. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: As the Board decides. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br />
