The gravity sewer shown at the intersection of <br /> Richmond Road and US 70 should be relocated to <br /> utilize the public street right-of-way. While <br /> the present alignment appears to be most <br /> favorable given the existing topography, we have <br /> conducted preliminary field surveys at this <br /> intersection to establish the feasibility of <br /> extending the sewer along the existing street <br /> right-of-way. Granted the depth of excavation <br /> will be somewhat greater, but the cost of <br /> excavation should be more than offset by avoiding <br /> the need for acquisition of easements. <br /> c. The original boundaries for the Phase I sewer <br /> improvements along US 70 on both the west and <br /> east ends are inconsistent with the existing <br /> topography. The boundry lines shown on <br /> Attachment 1 have been shifted to reflect the <br /> prevailing topography. Sewer service to those <br /> residences shown outside the new boundry could be <br /> provided by individual house pumps to the closest <br /> gravity sewer manhole. <br /> 8 <br />
