REVISED <br /> PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT <br /> CHEEKS TOWNSHIP SEWER IMPROVEMENTS <br /> PHASE I <br /> Background <br /> The proposed sewer improvements for Cheeks Township are <br /> described in a report prepared by the John R. McAdams Company, <br /> Inc. of Chapel Hill, N. C. dated February 1984. Hazen and <br /> Sawyer, P.C. of Raleigh, North Carolina was retained by Orange <br /> County in March of 1985 for the purpose of designing and <br /> administering construction of those facilities included in Phase <br /> 1 of the improvements recommended in the McAdams' report. Per <br /> the terms of the engineering agreement between the County and <br /> Hazen and Sawyer, the initial Hazen and Sawyer effort was to be <br /> directed to a general review, of the overall sewer system plan, <br /> technical evaluation of certain elements of the proposed plan and <br /> a review of the project cost estimate and financing plan. The <br /> purpose of The Revised Preliminary Engineering Report is to <br /> summarize the conclusion and recommendations relative to Phase 1 <br /> 1 <br />
