NEED: While it was agreed April 1, 1985 to begin solicitation of resumes from persons interested in serving on the Study Commission other decisions regarding make-up and direction were set aside for action at the April 16, 1985 Regular Meeting, 1. Cbmposition and Size What has been suggested is that the Commission consist of 10 members plus school representatives and that geographical balance be sought in making the appointments. The Board should indicate which population centers it wishes to make sure are represented. Other bases for consideration might include representation for the minority population and interested groups (businesses, parent-teacher organizations, league of women voters, etc.). 2. cbaragAQ jbesamdmian. An outline, developed from previous school studies, is again attached as a preliminary, draft scope-of-study. Any additions, revisions or deletions should be made at this time so that an early determination can be developed as to the procedures, data sources and instruments necessary for gathering and analyzing information to support the Commission's research. Also it will allow the Manager to put together an REP and budget estimate on the type, amount, and cost of technical assistance to be arranged in support of the Commission.
