. . <br /> - I - <br /> STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br /> ORANGE COUNT <br /> EMERGENCY MEDI CAL PROTECTION CONTRACT <br /> • <br /> This agreement is made and entered into this 1st day of July, <br /> - 1985, by and between Orange County, Chatham County and Sbuth <br /> Orange Rescue, Inc. <br /> WHEREAS, the Counties have established .a District within _ <br /> g North Chatham County consisting of an area wherein residents now <br /> E being served by the Southern Bell Telephone Exchange are provided <br /> Emergency Medical Services by Orange County Emergency Medical <br /> ,u7 <br /> 0 Services and South Orange Rescue Squad. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 20, Chapter. 160A of the N.C. <br /> =-5 <br /> General Statutes, Orange and Chatham Counties are empowered to <br /> , a <br /> enter into this agreement <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Counties and South Orange Rescue <br /> Squad, Inc. hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. Orange County and South Orange Rescue shall, to the best <br /> I of their ability, furnish equipment, supplies, and personnel deemed <br /> •• • <br /> a necessary by them for the purpose of providing emergency medical <br /> 1 - <br /> services protection to persons needing assistance within. the District <br /> as the boundaries of such District are now constituted or May . <br /> hereafter be amended. <br /> 2.
