<br /> WHEREAS, Governor James G. Martin has proclaimed
<br /> the week of April 14-20, 1985, as Public Health Week in North
<br /> Carolina; and
<br /> ,,-

<br /> WHEREAS, the public health facilities in Orange
<br /> County serve thousands of our citizens each year; and
<br /> :
<br /> WHEREAS, public health assures a cleaner, safer,
<br /> more wholesome environment in which to live; and
<br /> ".--r-
<br /> WHEREAS, healthful living is the major prevention
<br /> of the financial burdens of disease and chronic illness; and
<br /> WHEREAS, concerned, informed and active citizens
<br /> will ensure a healthy future for Orange County;
<br /> ' .
<br /> THEREFOR , BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
<br /> Commissioners proclaim APRIL 14-20, 1985, as PUBLIC HEALTH
<br /> WEEK in Orange County.
