Other important activities included coordinating assistance <br /> at the time of the Cone Mills closure, responding to 41 inquiries from firms, <br /> promotion of the County at the MD & DI (medical products) Conference held in <br /> New York City, beginning the development of a contact network, assisting <br /> Hillsborough and Mebane in achieving the Governor's Community of Excellence <br /> Awards, and beginning the effort to establish a quality business park. <br /> • <br /> E. The response to inquiries and <br /> developing a contact network is a continuous effort, and while the impact of <br /> the positive promotional strategy will likely not be felt immediately, <br /> monitoring the impact and the interest generated in the form of new inquiries <br /> will be a significant element of the workload in late 1985.
