In the last year, he has completed design of 34,000 • <br /> feet of raw water main for the Orange Water and Sewer Authority <br /> and 8 , 000 feet of gravity sewer in Wake County. Mr. Jose fl ,B. <br /> Meeks . P.E. , and Mr. Robert w. Batchelor will be assigned to the <br /> project to assist in preparation the contract documents and <br /> • design drawings. Mr . Meeks is preq/ently serving as project <br /> engineer for the work in Holly Springs , North Carolina; and <br /> Mr. Batchelor is senior designer, in the Raleigh office and • <br /> • would be responsible for preparation of the contract drawings. <br /> 1 Various other Raleigh staff including engineers , designers , <br /> draftsmen , etc. , will be assigned as necessary to produce a well <br /> conceived and thought-out design:: <br /> • <br /> surv - bet <br /> subcontracted to Mr- Robert T, Newcomb, Jr. , R.L.S. His experience assures that the <br /> • field inf • (- tion needed for design is properly developed and <br /> serves to expedite the office portion of the design work. <br /> • Subsurface investi • ations will be subcontracted to Soil & <br /> MateriAJ_Eng,iheers Inc,,, of Raleighz Soil & Material Engineers <br /> is a recognized leader in the geotechnical field in North <br /> Carolina and has worked with Hazen and Sawyer on a number of <br /> previous assignments. <br /> Approach to the Project <br /> Based on our review of the information furnished with the <br /> request for proposals and discussions with Mr . Laws , Assistant <br /> County Manager, it is clear that the highest priority during both <br /> design and construction must be the extension of sewer service to <br /> Efland Cheeks School .
