W. Ward Construction Company for renovations to the <br /> Orange County Jail. <br /> ' . <br /> NEED: <br /> , In Or''der to complete the renovation, without work stoppage three changes <br /> were authorized in late January by the ASsistant Manager: <br /> 1) A door lock was respecified from electrical to manual because of the <br /> former being unavailable for installation in a timely manner. <br /> ' <br /> t 2) A second vision panel was omitted since the existing panel in the <br /> control room door was found to be sufficient to meet State requirements. <br /> • <br /> 3) A wire glass passage had to be installed between the MagiStrate"s <br /> . ... <br /> . . <br /> Office and Booking Room to facilitate the prisoners processing. <br /> IMPACT: •The net result of these change orders is to reduce the contract price by <br /> $613.00 (from $19,533.88 to $18,920.88). <br /> •. , . <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): Ratify the change order approval as communicated in the <br /> attached January 23, 1985 letter of the Pur&hasing Director <br /> , to D.
