63 <br /> 3.6 Specifications are to be interpreted in <br /> their entirety in relationship to others in <br /> the classification plan. Specifications <br /> are descriptive and explanatory of the kind <br /> of work performed and are not necessarily <br /> inclusive of all duties performed. <br /> i` 3.7 The Personnel Director shall be responsible <br /> for maintaining an official copy of the <br /> Position Classification Plan. The official <br /> copy shall include a schematic list of <br /> class titles and class specifications plus <br /> all amendments thereto. <br /> 3.8 A copy of the official plan shall be avail- <br /> able for inspection by the public under <br /> reasonable conditions during business <br /> hours. <br /> Use of the Classification Plan: <br /> The Classification Plan is to be used: <br /> 3.9 As a guide in recruiting and examining <br /> '11 applicants for employment; <br /> 3. 10 In determining lines of promotion and <br /> developing employee training programs; <br /> 3. 11 In determining salary to be paid for <br /> vari- <br /> ous types of work; <br /> 3. 12 In determining personnel service items in <br /> departmental budgets; and <br /> 3. 13 In providing uniform job terminology under- <br /> standable by all County officials and <br /> employees and by the general public. <br /> • Administration of the Classification Plan: <br /> 3. 14 The Manager shall be responsible for the <br /> administration and maintenance of the <br /> Position Classification Plan. <br /> 3. 15 Department heads shall be responsible for <br /> bringing to the attention of the County <br /> Manager material changes in the nature of <br /> duties, responsibilities, working condi- <br /> tions, or other factors affecting the <br /> classification of any existing position. <br /> 3. 16 Following the receipt of such information <br /> concerning any existing or proposed posi- <br /> tion, the Personnel Director shall restudy <br /> the position and report findings and recom- <br />-i mendations to the Manager. <br />
