59 <br /> The Pay Plan established by this Ordinance is for full- <br /> time service. An employee appointed for less than <br /> full-time service shall be paid at a rate determined by <br /> converting the established salary of the position into <br /> an hourly rate, except for part-time EMS positions <br /> designated by the Manager. <br /> 14.0 SALARY INCREASE MAXIMUM <br /> When an employee attains the maximum rate of a salary <br /> range for present position, no further salary increases <br /> will be received unless (1) the position is reclassi- <br /> fied; (2) the employee is promoted to another position <br /> with a higher salary range; or (3) the salary range for <br /> the present position is increased. <br /> 15.0 RECLeSSIFICATION <br /> In the event of a reorganization in one or more depart- <br /> ments, the duties and responsibilities of a classified <br /> position may change since it was initially established <br /> or last classified. If so, this information should be <br /> brought to the attention of the County Manager who will <br /> have the job or jobs studied and compared with the most <br /> recent questionnaire and job description. <br /> 16.0 PAY PLAN IN EFFECT <br /> The Pay Plan in effect on the date of the adoption of <br /> these regulations shall remain in effect until modified <br /> { in accordance with the provisions of such regulations. <br /> When adopted, it shall be considered a part of this <br /> Chapter and have the same force and effect as these <br /> regulations. <br /> 17. 0 ADVANCED SALARY POLICY <br /> Advance on salary may be approved if the following <br /> conditions exist: <br /> I v <br /> 1. employee must be full-time or part-time with perm- <br /> anent status; <br /> 2. employee must have accumulated balance of vacation <br /> and sick leave equal to the amount of advance request- <br /> ed; <br /> 3. the advance of salary requested cannot exceed one <br /> pay period's wages; and <br /> 4. the request must be for an unanticipated emergency <br /> that can cause hardship for the employee. <br /> 17. 1 Procedure <br /> A request for advance of salary must be written by <br /> the employee stating the amount requested and the <br /> purpose. This document shall be given to the <br /> department head who in turn will prepare a person- <br />
