They <br /> are to be signed by the employee, and certified by <br /> the department head. Falsifying a time sheet is <br /> grounds for disciplinary action and/or dismissal. <br /> 2.3 Regular attend -nee is essential to department <br /> operations. Employees are expected to be present <br /> and on time as scheduled. <br /> 2.4 If an employee must be absent from work, he/she <br /> must notify the supervisor within thirty minutes <br /> of the scheduled starting time. This will help <br /> the supervisor in the difficult and time-consuming <br /> task of finding a replacement or in rescheduling <br /> work, as necessary. <br /> 2.5 Lateness and absenteeism interfere with department <br /> objectives and may result in appropriate and <br /> reasonable disciplinary action. <br /> 2.6 Unauthorized or unreported absence shall be consi- <br />
