The <br /> employee may seek the removal of such material in <br /> accordnce with' esstabl fished grievance procedures. <br /> 9. 11 Each individual requesting access to confidential <br /> information will be required to submit satisfactory <br /> proof of identity. <br /> 9. 1E A record shall be made of each disclosure and placed in <br /> the employee's file, except of disclosures to the <br /> employee and the supervisor. <br /> 9. 13 Personnel records containing confidential information <br /> will be routed undercover, either by inter-office <br /> envelope marked confidential or other protective means. <br /> 9. 14 No computer printouts divulging information on employ- <br /> ees shall be available to any employee of the county <br /> except as specifically permitted in section 9.5 of this <br /> article. <br /> k+; <br /> 9. 15 G.S. 153A-98 provides that any public official or <br /> employee who knowingly and willfully permits an <br /> • , Y 5 Y Y any person <br /> . to have access to any confidential information con- <br /> tained in an employee's personnel file, except as <br /> expressly authorized by the designated custodian, is <br /> guity of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be <br /> fined in an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars <br /> ($500). <br /> 9. 16 G.S. 153A-95 provides that any person not specifically <br /> authorized to have access to a personnel file desig- <br /> nated as confidential who shall knowingly and willfully <br /> examine in its official filing place, remove or copy <br /> any portion of a confidential personnel file shall be <br /> guilty of a Misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be <br /> fined in the discretion of the court but not in excess <br /> of five hundred dollars ($500). <br /> 9. 17 No public official may destroy, sell, loan, or other- <br /> wise dispose of any public record, except in accordance <br /> with G.S. 121-5, without the consent of the State <br /> Department of Cultural Resources.
