C. Council on the Status of <br /> Women to hold a one day symposium for residents of Orange County interested <br /> in the home based business concept. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> NEED: Of, the 550 people employed by the Cone Mill plant, more than 100 still <br /> remain out of work. Most of the still unemployed are women, some of whom <br /> have expressed an interest in starting businesses from their homes. In <br /> addition, many unemployed men in northern Orange might consider a home <br /> based business if.they had adequate information and support. <br /> IMPACT: Unemployed residents would have more information on an alternative <br /> employment option.
