Road <br /> Improvements were completed in 1983. After the completion of road <br /> improvements the N.C. Department of Transportation determined one <br /> right-of-way acquisition had been omitted. The right-of-way has <br /> been surveyed and appraised by Fred Ruffin, George Meyer and <br /> Kathleen Buck. <br /> Dilapidated Dwelling <br /> The subject dwelling is infeasible for housing rehabilitation. The <br /> appraised value of the unit is lower than the estimated cost of <br /> rehabilitation. Under federal regulations, the County must acquire <br /> the unit and assist the family in relocating into a standard dwelling. <br /> The unit was appraised by Fred Ruffin. Review appraisal was conducted <br /> by Kathleen Buck. The County will not acquire the land. This property <br /> was scheduled for assistance in 1983, however, the homeowner and <br /> Housing and Community Development Staff could not agree on the most <br /> appropriate means of relocation. <br /> IMPACT: Certification of just compensation and the actual acquisition of these <br /> properties represent the last acquisition activities for this project. <br /> • <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve recommended values. <br />
