To consider a proposed rezoning. <br /> November 26, 1984, for _appraval > Presented at public hearing on <br /> To receive the Planning Board recommendation. <br /> NEED: Wildwood Corporation has requested a rezoning for 12.9 <br /> located along the south side of Southern Railroad and west rof NC Highway 86. <br /> The purpose of the request is to permit higher density residential development <br /> than is presently allowed. <br /> The property in question is part of lot 4 of Orange County Tax Map 45 <br /> Hillsborough Township. The present zoning classification is R-1 <br /> Residential , while the requested designation is R-4. <br /> The property is located within the HB-4 Central Orange activity node <br /> which is designated Commercial/Industrial Transition. The area is also <br /> designated as Ten Year Transition. <br /> IMPACT: ;approval of the request would allow a density of 10,000 square feet per <br /> dwelling unit instead of the 40,000 square feet that is presently allowed. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Planning Board considered this item on December 17, 1984 and <br /> recommended that the request for rezoning from R-1 to R-4 be approved. <br />
