Greenberg, Wilson, Gordon, and Pearson opposed. <br /> The Board discussed consideration of the rest of the agenda. <br /> Since Board members did not bring their public hearing packets <br /> and did not have the findings of fact checklist to review, the <br /> Board tabled consideration of the Occoneechee Point- iI and Oakdale <br /> Park Two planned development/special use permits. <br /> Collins asked the Board if they wished to set a special Meeting <br /> to hear these items in order. to meet the January 7, 1985 date <br /> of the continuation of the public hearing to receive the Planning <br /> Board recommendations set by the Board of Commissioners. <br /> The Planning Board indicated by consensus that they did not wish <br /> to set a special meeting for this purpose. <br /> 5c.• WiLDWOOD SECTION iII REZONING REQUEST <br /> The staff presentation was made by Smith. . <br /> Smith clarified that the request was for a straight rezoning <br /> • <br /> to Residential-4,and that specific design requirements would be <br /> satisfied through the subdivision design, review.and approval process <br /> Pilkey inquired why an R-4 designation was requested. Smith <br /> responded that the R-4+ designation corresponded with Section 1 <br /> of Wildwood. Pearson added that the R-4 designation gave some <br /> flexibility in lot design. <br /> MOTION: Kizer moved approval of the Residentia1-4 zoning request. Pearson <br /> seconded the motion. <br /> Wilson reviewed the Town of Hillsborough concerns. <br /> Pearson felt that the Town concerns were inconsistent, particularly <br /> #2. <br /> Kizer asked about requiring a planned development on the property. <br /> Smith responded that there would be only limited gains to be derived <br /> from this process. <br /> Smith expressed concern about the Town's endorsement of the Land <br /> Use Plan amendment, the Central Orange Area Study, and the densities <br /> appropriate for this area and their later opposition to specific <br /> proposals for developments at these densities. <br /> Shanklin expressed concern about the limited number of Planning <br /> Board members involved in the preparation of the comments from <br /> the Town. of Hillsborough. He indicated that he tended to discount <br /> these comments as unrepresentative of the feelings of the people <br /> of Hillsborough. <br />
