157 <br /> PAT MCCRORY <br /> DONALD R, VAN DER VAART <br /> " MICHAEL SCOTT <br /> Waste Management !"., <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY <br /> July 18,2016 <br /> To: Michael Scott,Director <br /> Division of Waste Management <br /> From: Bill Hunneke, Eastern Region Compliance Supervisor, <br /> Compliance Branch,Hazardous Waste Section <br /> Subject: Hazardous Waste Section Comments on construction of a solar facility located at 6517 US <br /> Highway 70,Mebane,NC(Orange County) <br /> Project Number: 16-0397 <br /> The Hazardous Waste Section (HWS) has reviewed the subject Scoping Request for the proposed <br /> construction of a solar facility located at 6517 US Highway 70,Mebane,NC(Orange County). <br /> Any hazardous waste generated from the demolition, construction, operation, maintenance, and/or <br /> remediation(e,g.excavated soil)from the proposed project must be managed in accordance with the North <br /> Carolina Hazardous Waste Rules. The demolition,construction,operation, maintenance,and remediation <br /> activities conducted will most likely generate a solid waste,and a determination must be made whether it <br /> is a hazardous waste.
